My 5th marathon will be on December 5th in Sacramento, CA and while I’m not as trained up as I would like to be, I’ve committed myself to running this race with my dear friend, Derek Brookmeyer.  This will be Derek’s very first marathon and I couldn’t be more proud to be there by his side.

I stumbled upon this quote today and I couldn’t help but find it fitting.  Perhaps this is just what I need to read going into this race for I’m finding that I need subtle nudges like this to remind me why I got into this sport in the first place.
